The West African Examinations Council (WAEC) has officially released the 2024 WASSCE provisional results for private candidates.
In a statement issued in Accra, WAEC announced that candidates can now access their results online via www.waecgh.org. However, the Council has cautioned students and the general public to beware of fraudsters who claim to offer result upgrades for a fee via mobile money.
“WAEC’s results database is well secured, and all results can be authenticated,” the statement emphasized.
The Council further advised educational institutions and organizations to verify results directly from WAEC or use the official online confirmation service.
This marks the second release in the 2024 WASSCE Private examination series, with a total of 38,727 candidates registering—17,596 males and 21,131 females. However, 1,354 candidates did not sit for the exams.
Additionally, WAEC disclosed that 303 candidates had their subject results withheld, while 108 candidates had their entire results withheld pending investigations into suspected irregularities.
As candidates check their results, WAEC continues to emphasize the importance of authenticity and caution against fraudulent schemes.
