Ghana’s President, John Dramani Mahama, has officially approved the bill abolishing several taxes introduced by the previous administration.
The signing, which occurred today, April 2, 2025, fulfills a key campaign pledge to eliminate these taxes within 120 days of assuming office.
The move aligns with Article 106(7) of Ghana’s 1992 Constitution.
This follows Parliament’s decision on March 25, 2025, to repeal the Electronic Transfer Levy of 2022, along with other contentious taxes.
