An Accra High Court has revised the bail conditions for Kwabena Adu-Boahene, the former Director-General of the National Signals Bureau (NSB), lowering the initial GHS120 million requirement to GHS80 million.
However, his wife, Angela Adjei Boateng, remains on GHS80 million bail, with two sureties required to be justified.
Despite the adjustment, both are still mandated to report to the Economic and Organised Crime Office (EOCO) three times a week. Their travel restrictions also remain in place, requiring EOCO’s approval for any movement outside the country.
The couple is under investigation for alleged financial misconduct, including fraud, embezzlement, and illicit transactions. Adu-Boahene, who served as NSB head from 2017 until February 2025, is accused of misappropriating significant public funds.
Following the court’s decision, their lawyer, Samuel Atta Akyea, expressed optimism that his clients would be able to meet the revised bail terms.
