Popular Ghanaian vlogger and YouTuber Wode Maya has shared a deeply personal story about his family’s journey, marked by years of emotional challenges, loss, and renewed hope.
In a heartfelt statement posted online, Wode Maya revealed that in September 2021, doctors informed him and his partner that they would not be able to have children. Despite the devastating news, he chose to move forward in faith and love, proposing to her just three months later.
“September 2021 — we were told we couldn’t have children. December 2021 — I asked her to be my wife,” he wrote.
The couple got married in September 2022, a date that carried profound emotional significance. It marked the same day his wife lost her mother 13 years earlier, making the occasion both joyful and reflective.
“September 2022 — we got married, on the same day she lost her mother 13 years earlier,” he shared.
Wode Maya further disclosed that the couple suffered six miscarriages over the years, describing the period as heartbreaking and emotionally draining. However, after years of pain and uncertainty, they received hopeful news once again.
“After six heartbreaking miscarriages over the years, in 2025 we became pregnant again,” he revealed.
