Week 2 Recap: Shocking Testimonies and Evidence in Sean ‘Diddy’ Combs’ Trial

May 20, 2025 — Pulse Glance Newsroom

The second week of Sean “Diddy” Combs’ federal trial in Manhattan has unveiled a series of harrowing testimonies and disturbing evidence, painting a grim picture of alleged abuse and coercion. Combs faces multiple charges, including sex trafficking, racketeering conspiracy, and transportation for prostitution. He has pleaded not guilty to all charges.

Cassie Ventura’s Emotional Testimony

Cassie Ventura, Combs’ former partner, concluded her four-day testimony, detailing years of alleged abuse. She described being coerced into drug-fueled sex parties, referred to as “freak-offs,” and recounted instances of physical violence, including a 2016 incident captured on hotel surveillance footage. Ventura testified that Combs used explicit recordings to blackmail her and maintained control over her life and career. The Times+1New York Post+1

Graphic Evidence Presented

The prosecution presented graphic photographs showing Ventura with black eyes, swollen lips, bruises, and a bloody gash on her eyebrow, allegedly inflicted by Combs. These images, some taken after a 2016 incident at a Los Angeles hotel, were used to corroborate Ventura’s claims of sustained abuse. New York Post

Testimonies from Close Associates

Several of Ventura’s close associates took the stand to support her allegations:

  • Dawn Richard, a former member of Danity Kane, testified that she witnessed Combs physically assault Ventura, including an incident in 2009 where he allegedly attempted to hit her with a skillet.

  • Kerry Morgan, Ventura’s former best friend, recounted multiple assaults she witnessed, including one where Combs dragged Ventura by her hair. Morgan also claimed she was assaulted by Combs in 2018 and was paid $30,000 to sign a nondisclosure agreement.

  • David James, Combs’ former assistant, described the controlling environment Combs maintained, stating Ventura felt trapped in the relationship. He also testified about Combs’ extensive collection of pills, some bearing the likeness of former President Barack Obama, and the presence of drugs and paraphernalia in Combs’ hotel suite.

Upcoming Witnesses

The trial is expected to continue with testimonies from additional witnesses, including Ventura’s mother and an alleged escort known as “The Punisher.” These testimonies aim to further establish the pattern of abuse and control allegedly exerted by Combs. ABC News
